Pet Words of Wisdom – Winter odds

-

What an odd winter.

Paw safe salt sits on the shelf undisturbed. Winter coats for dogs hang on the walls with little hope of being taken home for a late winter blast.

Yet, our dogs have been outside more than usual this winter. And since December, they’ve had little snow to enjoy. Will a snow storm surprise us this spring?

Usually we sell lots of poop scoops in the spring as melting snow gives way to a load of trips to the yard. This year there hasn’t been much snow to hide the evidence. Poop scoops are being used daily. And if you need one, we’ve got one!

All that said, it’s likely there will be an early need for flea and heartworm treatments. So be prepared.
Regardless of the season, here at Dog Patch we are loading up with new supplies of all kinds. Leashes, collars, toys, bird feeders, bowls and more. We have everything you need to upgrade and replace your pet stuff to the latest, coolest new equipment.

Ponds might be ready to open up early, too. Look for pond supplies to start sprouting on our shelves sooner than later.

Adoptions are going home at rapid pace for this time of year. We love our rescue program. It allows us time to work with so many deserving animals and place them in good care.

Stop in and let us introduce you to a potential member of the family.

Here’s to a great spring!
