Did you know that the Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA) hires several hundred people to fill roughly 700-900 part time staff positions over the course of a year? It’s true. We couldn’t offer the breadth of programming that we do without them.
Creating an environment where children, teens and adults with disabilities can enjoy successful social and recreational experiences starts with hiring exceptional part time staff. So we do just that…hire exceptional part time staff! As our winter program season is about to kick off, we welcome those who are coming to WDSRA for the very first time and welcome back those who are returning. We are thrilled to have them as part of the WDSRA family!
Soon our Support Services Team will be turning their attention to summer hiring. Yes indeed, though it is downright frigid outside, they will begin the process of hiring more phenomenal people to work our summer programs and especially our summer day camps. Among the many WDSRA programs offered in Naperville during the summer are several day camps held in conjunction with Districts 203 and 204.
Are you a phenomenal individual looking for a part time job this summer? It is not too early to get your application in. We look for people who are enthusiastic, friendly and upbeat. Involvement with WDSRA programs requires enthusiasm, patience, commitment and dedication. Don’t have experience? Everyone, regardless of prior experience, is encouraged to apply. We train our part time staff for the roles and responsibilities that lie ahead of them.
WDSRA offers competitive wages based upon level of education and experience. Work schedules are flexible and you have the ability to design your own schedule. You should be able to commit to work the duration of the program season (usually 6-12 weeks). Applicants must be 16 years or older. Students under 16 years of age are encouraged to volunteer with parental approval.
