Public Comment Period for Springbrook Water Reclamation Center runs Oct. 21-Nov. 21, 2016

Draft Permit Open from October 21 to November 21

As part of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) has issued a draft five-year permit for the Naperville Water Utility’s Springbrook Water Reclamation Center.

This permit outlines the standards, limits and conditions the utility must meet to discharge wastewater effluent from the treatment plant into the Lower DuPage River.

As part of the permit issuance process, a public comment period is taking place from October 21 to November 21, 2016.

Anyone who wishes to comment on the permit can do so by mailing or hand-delivering comments to the following address:

The draft permit can be viewed online at www.epa.illinois.gov/public-notices/npdes-notices/index or in person at the City Clerk’s Office at the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St.
