Ongoing work along Ogden Ave. will close Wisconsin Street beginning Sept. 29

-

Wisconsin Street will be closed due to ongoing work to replace aging water main along Ogden Avenue.

In conjunction with the work being done to replace an aging water main on the south side of Ogden Avenue that began in July, Wisconsin Street will be closed to all traffic beginning Thurs., Sept. 29. Pending weather or unforeseen circumstances, this street closure is expected to last one week.

Use caution, add travel time

During the closure, Wisconsin Street will be inaccessible to and from Ogden Avenue. Residents should use Plank Road as the alternate route. Motorists are urged to use caution and allow additional time when traveling in this area.

Upon completion of the closure, access to and from Ogden Avenue via Wisconsin Street should be open for the remainder of construction. The two eastbound lanes between Columbia and Wisconsin streets will continue to be narrowed to one lane on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., unless otherwise noted.

Pending weather or unforeseen circumstances, the Ogden Avenue construction project should be completed by the end of October.
