You don’t have to be a country music fan to appreciate the energy, excitement and musical awesomeness of Cowboy Jukebox. They’ll be wrapping up our Moonlight Mixer season with a boot stompin’ good time that’s certain to get you on your feet and dancing. They’ve toured all over the Midwest with an impressive roster of venues and we’re ecstatic to have them rock the fields at Arranmore for you! Unlike CabCab, outside food and beverages are not permitted. But no worries, guests will have their choice of fare at our ‘Food Truck Row’. So come and dance and enjoy a complimentary, specialty cocktail that has been created for one night only! Oh, and leave your kids at home. This night is for adults only.

Along the Riverwalk folks can see the illumination of the large American flag gracing the Naperville Municipal Center near the Dan Shanower Sept. 11 Memorial. The site will be aglow Friday and Saturday evening. Freedom isn’t free.

The Weed Ladies fall sale features creative seasonal floral arrangements with silk and dried flowers and the popular dried bouquets. Runs through Sunday.

Come out and purchase some homemade cookies, bars, brownies and other treats that will be available for sale by the pound so you can create your own unique assortment! Take a tour of the shelter and enjoy complimentary beverages! All proceeds benefit the cats and dogs of the shelter.

Caseys Foods located at Naperville Plaza will be firing up its grill every Saturday and Sunday from 11AM to 2PM through October, weather permitting. Special 9-11 Remembrance at Naper Settlement – 9:30AM | Free / Donations Welcome

Retired Naperville Fire Department Captain Chuck Wehrli will discuss how he was mobilized on Sept. 11, 2001, after the terrorist attacks on New York in a program in the Chapel at Naper Settlement. Because of relationships he made with other first responders, Wehrli was able to procure a steel beam (pictured at top and below) from the World Trade Center, which now rests at the Cmdr. Dan Shanower Sept. 11 Memorial. Admission is free of charge. All are welcome.

The Naperville Municipal Band will perform patriotic music beginning at 12:45PM.  The ceremony to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the September 11 attacks will be held at 1PM in partnership with the City of Naperville and the Exchange Club of Naperville. The ceremony will take place at the Shanower Memorial behind City Hall, 400 S. Eagle, Naperville, IL. All are welcome to attend.

The folks at Meson Sabika have noted, “Olympics are in the past, and politics are in the future – so let’s focus on the present and come together to help the victims of  Louisiana and Italy.” 100 percent of sales from lunch and dinner will benefit American Red Cross for relief efforts. Donations will benefit flood victims in Baton Rouge on September 12. The following Mon., Sept. 19, donations will benefit earthquake victims in central Italy.
