On Friday, Aug. 12, the Naperville YMCAs will be hosting a Back to Class Bash from 6PM to 8PM at the Kroehler YMCA and in Central Park in downtown Naperville.
This event is free to the community and includes a variety of activities for all ages. Highlights include bounce houses, kids Olympic Games, family obstacle course, basketball-shooting contests, gaga pit and food specials from Joey’s Red Hots.
After the Back to Class activities, families can stay and enjoy the YMCA Movie Night featuring Disney’s “The Good Dinosaur.”
The Back to Class event also will be a preview for the impactful programs and activities available this fall at your Naperville YMCAs. This fall preschoolers also will be going “back to class” to begin their learning and development journey in YMCA early learning programs. With academic readiness a key pillar in the YMCA’s mission, we offer these programs knowing how important the first 5 years of a child’s life are. These years provide a foundation that shapes children’s future growth, happiness, development and learning achievement at school and in life in general. Let’s Explore for ages 2-3, Fab 4s for ages 3-4 and Pre-K for ages 4-6 years are led by caring, experienced teachers. These teachers ensure high quality and developmentally appropriate activities through Creative Curriculum.
Aligned to the Illinois Early Learning Development Standards and driven by Common Core Practices, YMCA programs provide a solid foundation for children entering Naperville elementary schools.Fee assistance is also available to those who meet income guidelines.
