NAPERVILLE CRIME STOPPERS are offering up to a $1,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest of person(s) responsible for an Arson.
On July 18, 2016, at approximately 13:54 hours, a tent set up on the property located behind the Mobil Gas Station located at 1420 E. Ogden, Naperville, was destroyed by fire. The tent was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
The resident/owner has been described as a person involved with public protest and is very opinionated on social media. It is believed that his tent was a target of arson.
According to independent witnesses and nearby video, a person of interest, was seen near the tent just prior to the fire.
The person of interest and his vehicle are in photos.
The person of interest is described as a male/white 50-60 years old, 6′ 00, medium to heavy build, prescription glasses, gray/white colored hair, short sleeve button up shirt, faded jeans.
The vehicle is believed to be a dark gray-blue Hyundai, unknown model.
