This year WDSRA is celebrating 40 years of serving the Naperville Community. One connection that has contributed to our success is the longstanding relationship we have with the Naperville Chamber of Commerce.
Over the years WDSRA has been able to take advantage of many of the educational workshops, top-notch speaker sessions and general education sessions offered by the Chamber. We have also been able to connect with and get to know better some of the many community-minded businesses for which Naperville is known.
Through these growing relationships we have had our parade float redesigned and rebuilt by Steve Brockman of Expert Plumbing. That float still looks amazing today! In addition, the businesses of the networking team, TEAM 1, have helped raise funds for our families by organizing a spirit night at bd’s Mongolian Grill and a mini-golf event.
This month we are thrilled to have been “adopted” by the Women in Business committee. They have chosen to support WDSRA families at their Summer Wine Social and networking event, Wednesday, July 20, 5:30-7:30PM at Topgolf, Naperville. We are grateful for their support in helping build awareness for WDSRA programs and services but most of all for the support they show for our families here in Naperville.
As for the Naperville Chamber of Commerce, it is their commitment to nonprofits that is just one example of what makes Naperville such an outstanding community. We applaud their commitment to supporting nonprofits and the overall quality of life for so many residents.
