The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that Colin Dalough is the newest addition to the Chamber staff. Beginning June 6, Dalough will assume the duties of Government Affairs and Business Development.

According to Nicki Anderson, President and CEO of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, Dalough brings a passion for the political process and will be strong advocate for business interests in and around the Naperville area. As a member of the Chamber, he led a successful campaign to modernize an aspect of the liquor law in favor of local retailers.

Most recently, he served as the Store Director for Standard Market.  He received his B.A. in Political Science from Benedictine University and his J.D. from Northern Illinois University College of Law.

“I’m very excited to join the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce,” said Dalough in a written statement.  “I hope to pursue a strategy that builds on the excellent work already being done here.  We have a wonderful community that is continually ranked among the best in the nation, and I will work tirelessly to pursue economic growth for our local businesses, our Members, and our families.”

“We are very vocal in Springfield and D.C. when it comes to issues that impact our business community and Members,” said Anderson. “Colin brings a deep understanding of legislation, how it impacts business and what issues we need to pay attention to.”

Dalough also will assist the Chamber in building relationships not only with Legislators but with businesses that understand the value of his expertise and leadership, Anderson said.

“We continue to make changes that are a value add for our Members and the organization, Colin certainly brings that,” added Anderson. “He starts June 6.”
