On Monday, May 09, 2016, the Naperville Police Department will be conducting a directed traffic safety initiative along the Route 59 corridor.
The purpose of the initiative is to increase the safety of citizens utilizing the thoroughfare through education and traffic enforcement. Our efforts will concentrate on speed, occupant restraint violations and distracted driving as well as other safety violations noted during our efforts.
In addition to Naperville Police Department, the following departments are also expected to participate in the initiative: Shorewood Police Department, Aurora Police Department, Warrenville Police Department, Streamwood Police Department and Hoffman Estates Police Department. Each jurisdiction will implement their own enforcement action based upon the needs of their communities.
The Naperville Police Department would like to remind all motorists to “Buckle Up” and drive safely.
