May 5-7, Theatre: North Central College presents three performances of “God of Carnage,” a student-directed play, at 7:30PM May 5-7 in the College’s Madden Theatre at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. In this Tony Award-winning comedy, two sets of parents come together to solve a squabble between their children. May 6-7, Music: DuPage Symphony Orchestra and Naperville Chorus present “Opera Gala” at 8PM May 6-7 in North Central College’s Wentz Concert Hall at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. For a grandiose culmination to its 62nd season, the DuPage Symphony Orchestra joins forces with the Naperville Chorus to present two entertaining evenings of opera choruses, ensembles and arias. May 13, Music: North Central College presents “An Evening With Jazz Vibraphonist Brad Stirtz” at 8PM Friday, May 13, in the College’s Madden Theatre at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. Called “a cabaret icon,” Curto returns to North Central with a new show celebrating the songs of Cole Porter. May 15, Music: North Central College presents the Women’s Chorale “Finale!” Concert at 4PM Sunday, May 15, in the College’s Wentz Concert Hall at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Ellsworth St. Directed by new faculty member Laura Lodewyck, “Machinal” tells the story of an unwilling heroine and the consequences of refusing to submit. May 21, Music: Chicago Sinfonietta presents “Cosmic Convergence” at 8PM Saturday, May 21, in North Central College’s Wentz Concert Hall at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. The Chicago Sinfonietta invites you to celebrate a new milestone during this encore performance of its greatest hits while introducing two, never-before-seen videos that are sure to take your breath away.
