An inquiry from an antique car restorer prompted this reminder that the Downtown Naperville Classic Car Show will return from 9AM to Noon, Sat., June 18, 2016, just in time for a pre-Father’s Day stroll of vintage vehicles.
Weather permitting, up to 100 crowd-pleasing Classic Cars in all makes and models will be exhibited along Jackson Avenue behind Nichols Library where the street will be closed east of Eagle Street and ending at Egg Harbor near the Riverwalk.  The exhibit will be free to attend.
Due to limited space, this car show is by invitation only and participants must be signed up in advance. Â Anyone with a classic car (No hot rods will be featured in this show.) who would like to enter is asked to email downtown@naperville.net with a request to be included in the show. Again, all vehicles must be signed up in advance.
According to Katie Wood, Executive Director of the Downtown Naperville Alliance, space will be limited to 100 classic cars.

Â The history of the automobile industry is engaging for all ages.
The morning also invites enthusiasts for old cars to meet their friends, children and neighbors, allowing time to discover all that’s new and well established in haircuts, shopping and dining pleasures throughout the central business district. Â For starters, breakfast and/or brunch are served at Egg Harbor, Heaven on Seven, Eggs Inc., Quigley’s Irish Pub and other eateries throughout downtown.
Note: Many of the vintage vehicles on display during the car show will be in the Naperville Memorial Day Parade presenting Gold Star Families and Veterans. The annual parade steps off along Jackson Avenue at 10:30AM Mon., May 30, 2016.
