Jeff Kinney & Andy Griffiths LIVE! is set for Naperville May 2

-

Above / Anderson’s will host another fun event for families at the Yellow Box, located in Community Christian Church, 1635 Emerson Lane, just off Odgen Avenue.

Way too much fun is in store when two of the world’s most popular children’s authors stop at Naperville’s Community Christian Church, 1635 Emerson Lane, Naperville, for a very special dual Anderson’s Bookshop event at 6PM on Monday, May 2.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid creator Jeff Kinney shares book #10: Old School, his most recent title. AND author Andy Griffiths, who attracts the same type of middle grade fans, brings his newest: 52 Story Treehouse.

And what a great time! Both authors will speak briefly and then sit down for a rollicking conversation and hilarious Draw-Off segment, showing off their best talents of storytelling and illustrating. A Q & A segment follows and then fans will be lined up to meet the authors and have a free professional photo snapped with the authors.

Ticketholders will receive a pre-signed book at this program: there will NOT be a booksigning line.

Tickets are available exclusively at JeffandAndy.brownpapertickets.com, while supplies last.

Jeff Kinney & Wimpy Kid

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School- Life was better in the old days. Or was it?

That’s the question Greg Heffley is asking as his town voluntarily unplugs and goes electronics-free. But modern life has its conveniences, and Greg isn’t cut out for an old-fashioned world.

With tension building inside and outside the Heffley home, will Greg find a way to survive? Or is going “old school” just too hard for a kid like Greg?

Jeff Kinney is an online game developer and designer, and a #1 New York Times bestselling author. In 2009, Kinney was named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World. He spent his childhood in the Washington, D.C., area and moved to New England in 1995. Kinney lives in southern Massachusetts with his wife and their two sons.

The 52-Story Treehouse- Andy and Terry live in a 52-Story treehouse. (It used to be a 39-story treehouse, but they keep expanding.) It has a chainsaw-juggling level, a make-your-own-pizza parlor, a rocket-powered carrot-launcher, a life-size snakes and ladders game, a remembering booth, a Ninja Snail Training Academy and a high-tech detective agency, with all the latest high-tech detective technology, including the Disguise-o-Matic 5000!

Something that is sure to come in handy as they try to solve the mystery of: What happened to Mr. Big Nose? After all, it’s hard to turn in your next book when your publisher has vanished!

Join New York Times-bestselling author Andy Griffiths and illustrator Terry Denton on another wild storytelling adventure in a series Publishers Weekly described as “Anarchic absurdity at its best.” Welcome to The 52-Story Treehouse…What are you waiting for? Come on up!

Andy Griffiths is an internationally successful children’s author and the award-winning writer of the JUST series and the BUM trilogy. His books have been bestsellers in both his native Australia and the USA. Griffiths thrives on having an audience; he has been a teacher, the lead singer in a rock band and a stand-up comedian. He lives in Smellbourne, I mean Melbourne, Australia, with his partner and two daughters. Other books by Andy Griffiths to look out for: The Day My Bum Went Psycho, Zombie Bums from Uranus, Bumageddon, Just Annoying, Just Crazy, Just Disgusting, Just Kidding, Just Stupid.
