Teen’s Taste – Ciabatta Bread Makes the Difference

-

Keeping up with my moto for 2016, “Life Simplified,” I thought I would give you my version of a piping hot deli sandwich.

First, I like to start off with Trader Joe’s Ciabatta half-baked bread, slightly sour, rustic Italian bread that has a hearty crust. This is the perfect choice for creating the crispy sandwich.

I cut the bread in half and I start my master piece.

Next I top with provolone cheese, then I place six thinly sliced pieces of turkey meat. I then place four slices of pre-cooked bacon on top of the turkey and then two more pieces of provolone cheese.

I have the oven pre-heated to 325 degrees and once my sandwich is built, I place it in the oven for 10 minutes.

After the cheese is melted, I remove it from the oven and I add my lettuce and tomatoes.

You can really do this with any type of deli meat. Just choose your favorite.

I think what makes the sandwich great is the ciabatta bread! I also accompany the sandwich with some pre-cut Trader Joe’s pineapple.  (In Naperville, Trader’s Joes is located in Naperville Plaza, Washington at Gartner.)

Try and cook one of hearty sandwiches up for your family and tell them Jack the Foodie said to “Keep it Simple in 2016 and enjoy life.”

Until next month, happy and healthy eating!
