Video Voice – A little touch of Ireland

-

If you’ve got leprechauns and shamrocks on your mind, it must be March. Once again, the West Suburban Irish will be presenting their St. Patrick’s Day parade on Saturday, March 12 and NCTV17 is excited to be able to put you curbside for this annual tradition.

This year’s parade kicks off at 10AM and will weave its way through downtown Naperville. The parade will be hosted by parade founder Kevin Dolan and Mike Reilly. Pat Bowler will be the Grand Marshall. The Parade Queen and her court will be accompanied by the Rose Buds and they’ll be plenty of marching bands, Irish dancers, and other community groups in the line-up. And, if you’re positioned along the parade route, our cameras may catch a glimpse of you as well.

The parade will air LIVE on Channel 17 on Comcast and WOW! in Naperville and via simultaneous stream at NCTV17.com. The live broadcast is brought to you through a technology known as TVU which the station leases with the help of a City of Naperville S.E.C.A. grant.

NCTV17 will then rebroadcast the parade at 7PM so everyone who marched in it, can go home, grab some corned beef and cabbage, a green beer (if you’re over 21), and then relax and watch the parade on TV.

So whether you’re Irish or Irish-at-heart, you can be part of the green movement in March!
