Exchange Happenings – Allocation Lunch and One Nation Under God Breakfast

-

February is a time when the Exchange Club of Naperville plans two of its favorite events that tug at our hearts.

First up, our service club will hold its Annual Allocation Lunch beginning at 11:30AM on Friday, March 4, 2016, at Meson Sabika, 1025 Aurora Avenue.

This luncheon provides time for 50 social service agencies, including Project H.E.L.P., all of which are given grants from funds raised at the club’s annual Ribfest, to tell their stories. This is always a very moving lunch and one that makes all those hot days working Ribfest worthwhile when our club, volunteers and the community come together to raise funds in order to eliminate child abuse and domestic violence.

Then at 9AM on Saturday, March 19, 2016, The Exchange Club of Naperville will present its One Nation Under God Breakfast, also at Meson Sabika. This annual plated breakfast is hosted by the Americanism Committee.

The One Nation Under God Breakfast is a time when individuals, organizations and businesses will be presented prestigious awards for their outstanding acts of patriotism and contributions to the community. Americanism has been called “The Heart of Exchange” because Exchange champions American ideals, and Exchange Clubs exist only on American soil. Exchange prides itself on its knowledge of American traditions, none less important than honoring the sacred American symbol – the flag. At the breakfast, individuals will be recognized for displaying the American flag.

Both of these events are open to the public. The community is welcome to attend and honor these outstanding agencies and individuals.

For reservations, call (630) 779-2702 by February 24 for the Allocations Luncheon ($23 per person) and by March 9 for the One Nation Under God Breakfast ($20 per person). Payment may be made at the time of event with cash or a check payable to Exchange Club of Naperville.
