At approximately 3:55AM Mon., Jan. 18, Naperville Police Department officers responded to the 300 block of east Bailey Road for the report of a robbery in progress at a local convenience store.
Upon arrival it was determined that the offender, who had left the scene prior to police arrival, displayed a dark colored, unknown weapon and stole an undisclosed amount of currency.
At approximately 4:15AM our officers responded to the 1400 block of east Chicago Avenue for a robbery that had just occurred, again at a local convenience store.
In this instance the offender reportedly had displayed a black handgun and stole an undisclosed amount of currency.
The offender had fled the scene prior to police arrival. It appears that the offender in both cases was the same subject.
He is described as follows: Male, white, mid-30’s, approximately 6’02”, 200 pounds. He was reported to be wearing a coat, pants and a hat, that were all purported to be dark in color. Additionally, he had partially covered his face.
