Christmas Cheer Luncheon and Cookie Sale – 11:30AM | $10

This year will be the 41st annual Christmas Cheer Luncheon and Cookie Sale! It is hosted by the United Methodist Women. Proceeds will go to local and national mission projects. Tickets are $10 per person. Cookies will be $10 per pound or $5 per half pound. You may choose your own assortment or purchase pre-selected assortments. Tickets are on sale through the church office or at the door. Purchasing tickets ahead is preferred. Contact the church office at (630) 355-1834.

The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood: the legendary hero’s tale with a twist. In Sherwood Forest, a dashing narcissist with a heart of gold aided by his not so smart, but loyal followers, the Merry Men, steal from the rich and give to the poor. A plotting Prince and his scheming Sheriff are outdone by Robin and his leading lady, with the help of the Towns Guy, who manages to make his way into every scene whether he’s wanted or not. Get ready for this laugh out loud retelling of the classic, which will take you on a journey through Sherwood Forest that youll never forget. Another performance will be held Saturday night at 7PM.

Come and relax and enjoy a scrumptious breakfast. Bring your camera and have your picture taken with Santa. Socialize. All are welcome to attend, so please invite a friend or two and make this one of your Holiday Traditions. We will be serving: Sausage, ham, pancakes w/warmed strawberries and/or spiced apples, milk, a variety of juices and coffee. The proceeds from this event benefit Loaves & Fishes.

Christmas Gift Shoppe – 9AM | Free
Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Naperville – 1451 Raymond Drive Naperville, IL 60563
United and Unique, a Single Mom’s Ministry of Trinity Church of the Nazarene, will hold a Christmas Gift Shoppe on December 5 from 9AM-6PM and December 6 from 1PM-6PM at 1451 Raymond Drive, Naperville. Hill Middle Schools PTSA will hold its annual Gingerbread Junction craft fair with more than 60 artisans displaying vintage designs, doll clothes, headbands and bows, pottery, art prints, hand-crafted jewelry, knits, quilts, holiday dcor, candles, handmade soaps and more.

Merry Tuba Christmas – 11AM | Free
Front Yard at U.S. Bank – Jefferson at Washington Naperville, IL 60540
The Naperville Municipal Band has arranged songs for tubas and other brass in a medley of holiday and Christmas favorites. Calling all tuba players, all ages, to come on downtown to perform in the annual concert that’s become a fine tradition. Decorated tubas are welcome!

Sunday

German Church Service & Reception – 11:30AM | Free
St. John United Church of Christ – 1190 Olesen Drive Naperville, IL 60540
The Elmhurst Damenchor will sing at the German language church service at St. John United Church of Christ at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, December 6. After the service there will be a reception with hot cider, stollen and cookies. The service will be led by Pastor Egon Gerdes, and all are welcome to attend. St. John UCC is located at 1190 Olesen Drive. German services are held on the first Sunday of every month and will continue on January 3 and February 7. For more information, call (630) 355-5208.

Christmas Presence “Young At Heart” Concert – 3PM | $12-$15. General admission – $15 Seniors and students – $12

Fun for the entire family, ‘Christmas Presence Young at Heart’ is a one hour concert by The Naperville Men’s Glee Club which celebrates the joys of the holiday season through music for all ages. The program includes traditional carols sung by the Glee Club and guest soprano Mary Elliott, plus a golden anniversary performance of the Christmas novelty song ‘Fruitcake’. Children in the audience are invited to the stage to accompany the Glee Club using handheld percussion instruments.  Tickets will also be available at the door prior to the concert (cash or check only).
