Naperville Gardener – National Cookie Day is December 4!

-

If you would like to experience a festive display of cookies, come to the Naperville Garden Club’s Cup of Cheer House Walk, Holiday Market and Tea on December 3 and 4.

One of the requirements of membership is that every member must bake six dozen small cookies for this event.

The cookies were always pretty and yummy, but in recent years our social committee has held a cookie contest.

Our members have risen to the challenge and every year the cookies are better and more decorative than the year before.

Usually the homes on our House Walk are the reason for attending, followed by the opportunity to buy something new for the holidays at our Holiday Market.

In recent years, the Tea experience is not to be missed!

Our cookies must be small enough to fit beside the teacup as it sits on the saucer. So you can enjoy about four of our cookies that would have the calories of one normal-sized one.

The teacup and saucer are yours to keep as a memento and this year’s teacup features a cardinal, coincidentally the mascot of North Central College where we host the Tea.

For more information about our 2015 Cup of Cheer™ House Walk, Holiday Market and Tea or Naperville Garden Club membership, visit www.napervillegardenclub.org.

We hope to see you at this traditional holiday event from 9-4PM, Fri. Dec. 4. Be sure to look for the display of the top ten cookies.
