Turkey Trot 2014-649Happy Thanksgiving!

Naperville Noon Lions 5K Turkey Trot – 8AM | Must be pre-registered
Naperville Central High School – 440 Aurora Ave. Naperville, IL 60540
18th annual 5K Turkey Trot will be held on Thanksgiving morning starting at 8AM. This is a chip-timed race with awards given out to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as top three finishers in each age group. Runners, walkers, running strollers and special needs walkers/runners are welcome in this event. No dogs or other animals please. All proceeds go to benefit individuals with vision, hearing and diabetes issues in the Naperville area. The race is limited to the first 7,500 runners to register. In 2014 the race sold out one week in advance. On-line registration only accepted. Go to napervilleturkeytrot.com to register and more information. There will be no day of race registration. Packet pickup will be at the Running Company Store in downtown Naperville on November 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25. Also on race day morning at Naperville Central High School starting at 7AM. Carillonneur Jim Brown’s Thanksgiving Day concert, which is the final Carillon special event this fall, will take place at noon on Thursday, November 26 at the Millennium Carillon, 443 Aurora Ave.

Santa Claus at the Little Friends Parade of Lights

Bundle up for an evening of festivities, brightly lit floats and musical entertainment at the annual Little Friends Holiday Parade of Lights on Sunday, November 29. The parade begins on Jackson Avenue, just west of Eagle Street, at 5PM.
