Park district schedules hours for Santa visits along Naperville Riverwalk

-

Above / On Nov. 20, the 2015 holiday tree was set along the Riverwalk near the Santa House. After a snowy Nov. 21, the popular Santa House glistens in the sunshine on Nov. 22.

Just in time time to see who’s been naughty or nice before kids line up with their lists to visit the Santa House, a Naperville couple, Nancy and Bill Boyk, donated a 19-year-old spruce tree that recently was placed along the Riverwalk for the 2015 holiday season.

The tree was cut from its previous location at 982 Dakota Circle, Naperville, near Arrowhead Park.

When the Naperville Park District turned off the Dandelion Fountain for the winter, the tree was placed in the Riverwalk plaza across from Nichols Library near the corner of Jackson Ave. and Webster St., conveniently located near all the holiday festivities planned in downtown Naperville.

During the holiday season, the evergreen tree aglow with lights, a manger and a menorah will enhance the popular landmark area along the Riverwalk.
