Original Post, Oct. 6, 2015 / The Naperville Twilight Cross-Country Invitational is slated for Wed., Oct. 7, at Naperville North High School.

According to organizers, the highly competitive event leads up to the state meet. This year the field has doubled. Twelve schools will compete with 1,200 runners.

What’s more, Wednesday’s invitational is the first time the meet has been hosted by the Huskies at Naperville North High School as well as the first time New Balance and Naperville Running Company are sponsoring.

Plus, it’s Naperville North’s first-ever on-campus cross-country meet.

The state’s top four girls’ teams will compete for the first time this season, in what DyeStat calls “the must see race of the regular season.” The field will include #4-USA Naperville North (3A #1), Yorkville (2A #1), Glenbard West (3A #2), and Minooka (3A #3).

On the boys’ side, #7-USA Neuqua Valley (3A #3) and Hinsdale Central (3A #5) will compete in a field of five ranked teams.
