Update July 5, 2015 / A view/link of the 2015 Independence Day Fireworks from Knoch Park and the Exchange Club of Naperville Ribfest.
Original Post, July 4, 2015 /Naperville’s spectacular fireworks display will begin at 9:30PM Sat., July 4, over Knoch Park where the Exchange Club of Naperville is hosting its 28th Annual Ribfest along West Street through Sun., July 5.
Note that admission to Ribfest is free after 7:30PM today, July 4th. (All other times, gate admission is $15. Children 11 and under are free with adult. Ribfest runs noon-10PM.)
Simply put, here are a few prime locations to watch the professionally-presented Naperville Fireworks, sponsored by Meijer.
Note many places are blocked off and designated portions all along West Street as it winds toward Hobson West.
Large crowds usually gather at:
- Hobson West Shopping Center (75th Street at Rickert Road)
- May Watts Park Sled Hill (820 S. Whispering Hills)
- Gartner Park (524 W. Gartner Road)
- Van Buren Parking Deck (Van Buren at Main streets)
- Chicago Avenue Parking Deck (Chicago at Washington)
- Good Shepherd Church Parking Lot (1310 Shepherd Drive just south of 75th St.)
- Central Park Benches (104 E. Benton)
Also, enjoy the fireworks at many other local parks, open spaces and neighborhood backyards in close proximity to downtown Naperville.
Above / In 2014, the fireworks were set to music in the night sky with almost a half moon (Find the moon in both photos). Be sure to compare the presence of the moon in 2015.
Note that the view from the base of Rotary Hill comes with some sight limitations, but it also comes with a pre-fireworks concert from 8:45- 9:15PM when Sue Bergren and Tim Sleep will perform “Patriotic Duets.”
