The Naperville Convention and Visitors Bureau (NCVB) could be called the city’s concierge desk. It provides information and assistance in discovering the attractions, restaurants, shops and activities Naperville has to offer.
The NCVB is looking forward to an action-packed summer filled with events in the arts, athletics and more for all to enjoy.
This summer there’s a big reason to celebrate Naperville sports. A full decade of the Indian Prairie Showdown Tournament will be commemorated July 24-26. In addition to the lacrosse tournament itself, the event will include new upgrades and events to recognize 10 years of the Indian Prairie Showdown. This tournament is for high school students or newly graduated high school seniors, and attracts a mix of teams from all over the country to play and enjoy exciting lax games.
The tournament will be held at Frontier Sports Complex, an ideal destination for sports players. During breaks in the tournament, grab a bite to eat at one of the restaurants in close proximity to the fields. The Route 59 Corridor is located just around the corner from the complex, and is filled with many dining and snacking options.
For visitors from out of town, the NCVB provides assistance in finding hotels for overnight accommodations that are sure to suit the needs of young sports travelers.
We’re also heading into a summer for the arts. North Central College has a busy schedule of performances ahead including The Addams Family, The Music Man, and Summer Light Opera.
Several other fun outdoor concerts and band performances also are happening. Make a day of your downtown outing with shopping and dining before the show!
Whether you are athletic, creative, or just enjoy the outdoors, there is fun to be had during summertime in Naperville!
