First Community lends support to nonprofit initiatives

Earlier this week, First Community Financial Bank Naperville presented gifts to nonprofit initiatives, thanks to community support of two local events this spring.

WSI St. Patrick’s Parade benefits St. Baldrick’s

Mary Jane Leisten of FCB Naperville presented a $250 check to Naperville’s West Suburban Irish St. Patrick’s Day Parade chairman Chuck Corrigan of Dommermuth Cobine West Gensler Phillipchuck Corrigan and Bernhard, LTD.

The bank made this donation as a result of the Lucky Postcard handed out a long the parade route on March 14.

For many years, the West Suburban Irish St. Patrick’s Parade has helped raise awareness for St. Baldrick’s Foundation on behalf of concerted fundraising efforts for childhood cancer research.

“We believe that together we can make a difference, ” said Leisten.

Girls on Gartner benefits 360 Youth Services

In addition, Leisten presented a check to Nancy Wiersum of 360 Youth Services, a direct result of 350 completed raffle cards turned into the main raffle during the Girls on Gartner Shopportunity Event held May 6 in Naperville Plaza.

“We’re giving back because we believe in the great work 360 Youth Services does in our community,” Leisten added.
