More than 30 vendors will be showcased at 95th Street Library.

As spring is in full swing so is spring cleaning and healthy living. Families who crave a detox from the winter doldrums and want to launch into spring with fresh ways to live, eat and play can attend the Naperville Public Library first-ever Naperville Family Expo from 11AM to 3PM Sat., May 2.

Hosted by Lifetime Health & Wellness in partnership with Naperville Public Library, the expo will feature more than 30 local businesses, vendors and healthcare practitioners showcasing safe, natural and eco-friendly products and services at 95th Street Library, 3015 Cedar Glade Drive, Naperville.

Catered toward families with young children and expectant mothers, the expo will help families with the many overwhelming decisions they face like choosing the best healthcare practitioner or the safest non-toxic cleaning products.

“It is important for parents to do their research so they can better understand the options they have available to them,” said Dr. Michelle Dougherty, practice owner and chiropractic physician with Lifetime Health & Wellness. “Parents typically are, and should be, the strongest advocate for their children’s health and their families’ well-being.  In choosing doctors and healthcare practitioners, it is important that they not only respect and listen to your concerns but that they are able to adequately answer your questions.”

Dougherty said a variety of demonstrations will be provided throughout the day, starting with a safety demo courtesy of Naperville Fire Department. Along with local mother’s groups and other family-focused organizations, the all-ages expo also will include an arts and crafts station as well as an interactive toy and play area for kids. Free samples, coupons, special promotions and dozens of door prizes also will be raffled off throughout the day.

“With products, everything from your food choices to everyday cleaning products have an impact on your families’ health,” Dougherty said. “With the amount of choices families have available to them today, it is more important than ever for families to truly understand all the options available and that they can find safe, healthy and affordable services and products that fit their needs.”

No registration is required to attend. For more information about Lifetime Health & Wellness, go to LifetimeHealthDoc.com.
