Bring friends, neighbors and family to watch more than 20 individuals who will brave the shave in solidarity with kids with cancer and raise money to Conquer Childhood Cancers!

Be sure to bring friends and come to our Celebrate Art! Fundraiser. There will be music and refreshments along with the opportunity to bid on great art, win raffle baskets and be the recipient of a door prize or two. “The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass” and other American Music – 8PM | $20
Wentz Concert Hall – 171 E. Chicago Ave. Naperville, IL 60563
This concert will feature The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass by Carol Barnett accompanied by a bluegrass quintet. This mass contains the classical elements of the mass but with the rhythm and feeling of bluegrass accompanied by a five-piece bluegrass ensemble. The concert also includes other American music, including two choruses from The Tender Land by Aaron Copland, arrangements of cowboy folk songs, and classic American show music. Annual Arbor Day Tree Sale 8AM-Noon
Public Works Service Center – 180 Fort Hill Drive Naperville, IL 60540.
Select from a large variety of trees at tremendous savings for use in beautifying their yards and sustaining the environment. Many different tree varieties will be for sale, including various maples, crabapples and oaks. A listing of the species available, along with prices and more information, can be found at www.naperville.il.us/arbordaytreesale.aspx. Attendees may pay by cash or check, and all trees purchased must be removed by noon. Trees will be located inside the Public Works Service Center to avoid the public standing outside in the event of inclement weather. All trees available for purchase are container grown, so they are easier to transport than trees that are wrapped in burlap. Public Works employees will be on hand to help load trees into vehicles. Raising the Roof 5K Fun Run/Walk – 8:30AM | $25

The first annual Raising the Rook 5K fun run/walk is being held on the last Saturday in April in Aurora, IL. Top three finishers in each category will receive awards. Proceeds are donated to the building missions of Fox Valley Habitat for Humanity. Race day registration available; t-shirt guaranteed if registered by 4/13/2015. Run With The Lions 5K Run/Walk – 9AM | $20

Longwood Elementary PTA, will be hosting our 2nd annual Run With the Lions 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Our 5K includes a chip-timed racer’s bib, a technical fabric t-shirt, a custom medal and goodie bag. We will also host a free 100 meter dash to all children in grades Pre-K through 5th. As a Title I school, Longwood Elementary has a high percentage of economically disadvantaged students. Our PTA is a small but strong force dedicated to raising the funds necessary to enable our student body to attend field trips and participate in PTA-funded activities and programs. We also hope to raise enough money to provide the school with physical education equipment and technological improvements Great Family event or a great way to train for marathons and half-marathons in Naperville and the Chicago area! Naperville Central National Honor Society 4th annual Spring Jamboree –  10:30AM-1:30PM |  $5 per person, all inclusive, all inside!  Children under 2 are FREE.

Meet Princess Elsa, Dorothy, Spiderman, and Iron Man, get your face painted, Play Just Dance, Jump in the Bounce House, Play Sports, Earn Prizes and more during this indoor carnival for kids up to 5th grade. This event is completely run by Junior National Honor Society members and every dollar raised will be split between the NCHS Adapted Art Program and U4Uganda which provides desks for students in Uganda, also run by NCHS Students.

The event is made possible by a partnership with My Chef Catering and is presented by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Charitable Foundation. Along with samples of the restaurants’ signature dishes, Cuisine for a Cause will feature open bar, wine and beer tasting, and auctions. Terri Walker of Walker Auctions will bring her unique style to the event ensuring a fun and lively auction. And, mobile bidding will let guests to browse auction items, place bids and pay for items all straight from their mobile phones. Mobile bidding will also allow guests to register for the auction before the event, bid on items a week before the event, receive text messages when outbid, set a maximum bid on their favorite items and enjoy easier checkout. For its annual spring concert, The Naperville Men’s Glee Club (NMGC) features a reprise of the highly successful ‘NMGC Voices of Hope’ chorus, consisting of 100+ local men and women united by their experience with cancer. Directed by NMGC Artistic Director Bonnie Klee Roberts, an inspiring, entertaining selection of pop songs, blues, Broadway hits, and gospel music will be performed. The Glee Club and their small ensemble Silver Lining will also perform. The lobby of Wentz Concert Hall will display ‘Lilly Oncology on Canvas: Expressions of a Cancer Journey’ art. Loaned by Lilly Oncology and The National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship, this traveling art show features paintings by cancer patients and caregivers which portray their cancer experience. Advance purchase is recommended. Cancer survivors may register now at napervillemensgleeclub.org to receive a complimentary concert ticket, courtesy of the DuPage Foundation. The complimentary tickets will be distributed just before the concert.
