Linden Oaks Behavioral Health is presenting “My Journey to Overcome Cyberbullying: A Night with Musician Jillian Jensen.”
The program, which will focus on bullying that occurs via social media, texting and e-mail, will be held Tuesday, April 21, from 6 – 8PM at North Central College’s Pfeiffer Hall, 310 E. Benton Ave. in Naperville. There is no cost. All ages are welcome.
According to NoBullying.com, more than half of adolescents have been bullied online, more than 25 percent have been repeatedly cyberbullied and, in most cases, their parents aren’t aware.
Jensen, a former contestant on American Idol and The X Factor, will discuss her experiences with cyberbullying and bullying prevention and support. In addition to an acoustic performance, Jensen will hold Q-and-A and meet-and-greet sessions for students and parents.
