Two years ago, the Naperville Art League (NAL) began to open the doors of its Fine Art Center & Gallery, 508 North Center Street, on the evening of the fourth Friday of every month with the hopes of attracting the attention of community members while providing a meeting place for the artists in its own membership. Accompanied by live music and refreshments, Fourth Fridays soon became a favorite to many, spawning friendships, artistic inspiration and public awareness of the league.
This month the Fourth Friday, scheduled for April 24, promises to bring more excitement to an already exciting event. Titled “Celebrate Art!”, the evening’s offerings will include a silent auction of quality art pieces, drawings for gift baskets filled with valuable prizes, and special “buy it now” items at discounted prices.
An impressive exhibit of Riverwalk Fine Art Fair banners will be on display to commemorate the 30th anniversary of NAL’s signature annual event along with a representation of art fair promotional posters dating back to 2003. This creative environment enhanced by the music of DJ Ian Wallace, tasty appetizers and Trader Joe’s finest wine will provide a festive atmosphere while bidders make their selections and await their fate.
The doors open at 7PM and all are invited to have fun, secure some art and support passion for the arts in Naperville.
All proceeds from this event will support NAL’s planned classroom renovations which will ensure the viability of the education program for adults and children that the league offers to the community.
