Naperville Responds for Our Veterans is pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity for high school seniors. The primary criteria for selection are demonstrated leadership qualities, school service and community service. The following is a breakdown of the scholarship available to students and payable for one year only.
This $1,000 scholarship was introduced to honor Warren L. Dixon, Jr. who was a distinguished Naperville resident, Vietnam Navy Veteran, a long-time and well-respected elected official and coach to many youth athletes in Naperville. This scholarship will be awarded to a local high school senior who will be attending North Central College, has an active duty or veteran family member (immediate, aunt, uncle, grandparent) and has an interest in leadership, service, and displays the spirit of Naperville Responds for Our Veterans. Current and former NRFOV board members and their families are excluded from consideration. Completed applications are due March 27, 2015. Late applications will not be accepted.
