Party-goers will enjoy Cajun-inspired appetizers, hurricanes and a live music performance by Empty Pockets as they bid on silent and live auction items.

As in years past, there is an online auction leading up to the event. Select items will only be available online; others will be brought to the live event to continue bidding as the good times roll. For further information visit www.biddingforgood.com/jcmardigras.

Money raised at Mardi Gras, as well as other fundraisers like Last Fling and Bowling For Bucks, will benefit many organizations that the Naperville Jaycees work hard to support in the Naperville area and throughout DuPage County. In the past ten years, non-profit organizations in the community and throughout DuPage County received more than two million of the proceeds from Naperville Jaycees fundraisers.

The Jaycees are seeking sponsors and auction items. Sponsorship levels begin at 50 dollars and can include nationwide exposure through the Bidding for Good website. Businesses interested in sponsorship or donating auction items can contact JCMardiGras@gmail.com.

Participants must be 21 or over to attend. Tickets are $45 per person and can be purchased at www.naperjaycees.org.

An ombudsman is Scandinavian in origin dating back to Viking times; and refers to a community representative; usually acting independently on behalf of an organization, body of elected officials, or civic group. Thanks Scandinavia for inventing ombudsman.
