The Naperville Municipal Band is now accepting application letters for ice cream social sponsors for the free series of 11 band concerts in Central Park this summer.
Concerts are held at 7:30PM on Thursdays from June 9 through Aug. 18, 2016. Any nonprofit organization serving the Naperville community is eligible to apply.

Apply by March 7, 2016
The applicant’s letter should include the organization’s name and a brief explanation of its purpose, in addition to the name, address, email address and telephone number of the organization’s president or concert bake sale chairperson.
Application letters must be received by Monday, March 7, 2016, to be eligible for the lottery.

Save the date! NMB Winter Concert is March 6
And while thoughts are turning to summer evenings in Central Park, mark your calendar for the Naperville Municipal Band’s winter indoor concert, slated to begin at 3PM on Sun., March 6, 2016, at Wentz Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Center on the campus of North Central College. The concert is free of charge.
No doubt, concert goers on March 6 will be reminded of the March 7 deadline to apply for the summer concert bake sale.
Did you know? The Naperville Municipal Band was established in 1859. With the Community Concert Center in Naperville’s Central Park as its home base, the band entertains thousands of listeners every summer with its free weekly concerts, in addition to indoor fall, winter and spring concerts as well as the outdoor Tuba Christmas on the first Saturday in December.
For 50-plus years, the Naperville Municipal Band has been under the leadership of Conductor and Musical Director Ron Keller, pictured at left.
