Naperville school districts announce Illinois State Scholars

-

education_schoolThe Illinois Student Assistance Commission recognized more than 18,000 high school seniors as 2015-2016 Illinois State Scholars, including 428 from Naperville Community Unit School District 203.

Students from both District 203 high schools students received the prestigious award; 194 Naperville Central High School students and 234 Naperville North High School students were honored.

A full list of students can be found at http://www.isac.org/ where schools are presented by county and alphabetical order.

Illinois State Scholars represent the top ten percent of high school seniors, from 671 different high schools across the state. Selection is based on SAT, ACT or Prairie State Achievement Exam scores, and/or class rank at the end of the junior year.  The ISAC, the state agency committed to helping to make college accessible and affordable for Illinois families, first introduced the Illinois State Scholar recognition program in 1958.

Editor’s Note: In addition, students in Indian Prairie Unit School District 204 who attend Waubonsie Valley, Neuqua Valley and Metea Valley high schools also were recognized. Private schools where Naperville students attend such as Benet Academy in Lisle and St. Francis in Wheaton also are listed.
