Rick Springfield “Stripped Down” – 8PM| $35-$50

In one of the most talked about tours of 2014, Stripped Down brings iconic rock star Rick Springfield to his fans in an intimate solo show of music and storytelling. Springfield has made a legendary mark on the rock world, releasing 17 albums, selling 25 million records and producing 17 top-40 hits, including Dont Talk to Strangers. In 1981, he earned a Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal for his No. 1 hit single Jessies Girl. This show is the first in more than 30 years of touring in which fans will hear some of Springfields own favorite songs live. Saturday, November 22 is the Judd Kendall VFW Turkey Raffle. Games, food, raffles and just an all-around good time is the menu for the evening. Great food prepared by the Ladies Auxiliary will be available. Bring plenty of money and good spirits. The festivities will start at 6PM, but folks are advised to arrive a little earlier to get choice seats. BTW, an ATM is available if you run low on cash. A plethora of great gift cards and other assorted items will be featured for the auction this year. Mike Barbour suggests getting several nose jobs (long string of raffle tickets) to insure you win one of those valuable auction items. Barbour also threatens to wear his pink tutu, feather boa and top hat that made its debut during the Judd-a-Thon in September. This is the post’s biggest fund raiser. Volunteer raffle sellers and workers be at the post by 5:30PM for final instructions.

DuPage Symphony Orchestra Presents From Tsarist Times – 3PM | $12-$35

The DuPage Symphony Orchestra (DSO) continues its 2014-2015 Concert Season with From Tsarist Times as part of its series featuring the theme Music, the Global Language. Music Director Maestra Barbara Schubert conducts the DSO, honored by the Illinois Council of Orchestras as the 2013 Community Orchestra of the Year, in a dual performance at Wentz Concert Hall, 171 E. Chicago Avenue in Naperville, on Saturday, November 22 at 8pm and Sunday, November 23 at 3pm. World-renowned violinist Rachel Barton Pine, hailed by as ‘an exciting, boundary-defying performer’, returns to share the Wentz Hall stage with the DuPage Symphony Orchestra in Alexander Glazunov’s magnificent, virtuosic Violin Concerto. Also on the program of all Russian repertoire: Glazunov’s melodious Overture Solennelle and Tchaikovsky’s powerful Symphony No. 4 in F minor. Tickets for these performances are $35 balcony/$30 main floor for adults, $31 balcony/$26 main floor for seniors (65+), and $17 balcony/$12 main floor for students.
