Theatre Central Presents: Plaza Suite – 8PM | $5

Naperville Central High School’s drama club Theatre Central will be performing Neil Simon’s Plaza Suite on November 6th at 7:30PM and November 7 and 8 at 8PM. This year’s fall show is a comedy featuring talented actors and three acts of hilarity. Performances will be held in the Naperville Central auditorium. Tickets sell for $5. The story revolves around three sets of characters occupying the same suite at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. In the first act, Visitor from Mamaroneck, the married couple of Sam Nash (Julian Coronado) and Karen Nash (Anna Rose Redgate) revisit their honeymoon suite an attempt by Karen to rekindle the love in their marriage. Unfortunately, this plan flops as their conversation turns to the contentious subject of whether or not Sam is having an affair with his secretary (Erin Feldman). Act Two, Visitor from Hollywood, features a rendezvous between the famous movie producer Jesse Kiplinger (Sawyer Jackson) and his old high school sweetheart now suburban housewife Muriel Tate (Morgan Millmore). The third act, Visitor from Forest Hills, centers around the increasingly slapstick attempts of the married couple Roy Hubley (Khalif Todd) and Norma Hubley (Caroline Broderick) to remove their anxious daughter Mimsey (Kate Peterson) from the bathroom on her wedding day. An ombudsman is Scandinavian in origin dating back to Viking times; and refers to a community representative; usually acting independently on behalf of an organization, body of elected officials, or civic group. Thanks Scandinavia for inventing ombudsman.
