-

event-by-giving-dupageGiving DuPage is hosting a nonprofit training workshop “Purposeful Boards & Powerful Fundraising” from 8AM-3:30PM on Friday, Nov. 7.

The full-day workshop will focus on nonprofit governance, board structure and the role of a non-profit board.  Attendees will learn the latest trends, best practices, legal insights and how to develop strategies to build and retain the best board.

Chuck Loring, respected consultant within the industry, was invited back to present the workshop, having earned rave reviews at previous seminars. “Chuck draws you in and does an amazing job keeping everyone’s attention throughout the day,” said Connie Bailey, Giving DuPage Board President.  “The most popular topic Chuck teaches about is how to create a board fearless in fundraising, identifying the keys to fundraising success,” added Bailey.

Giving DuPage has extended the early bird rate of $45 per person through Friday, with the workshop being held at Bobak’s Signature Events on Friday, Nov 7.  More than 150 local non-profit organizations have registered for the workshop and the event is expected to sell out this week.  The workshop was made possible with generous support from the DuPage Community Foundation, and sponsorship from Community Bank of Wheaton/Glen Ellyn and the Management Association.
