Naperville_JC_Logo_(2-C)2During their monthly meeting on October 14, the Naperville Jaycees announced nearly $6,000 in gifts to local organizations for the month of October 2014.

These contributions are in addition to the $8,250 awarded in April, $4,450 awarded in May, $12,300 in July, and $3,350 in August.  Total donations for the five months came to $34,348.95, all of which was given back to the Naperville nonprofit community.

The Naperville Jaycees year-round fundraising efforts provide funds to donate to the community. This year the Naperville Jaycees have been researching and donating to deserving local organizations to award monthly grants from April through December 2014.

The October donation was comprised of several smaller donations that will help make an impact for local organizations making huge strides to help several important aspects in the community and were recognized for those efforts by the Naperville Jaycees. The recipients include DuPage Habitat for Humanity, $500; Easter Seals, $2,000; NAMI DuPage, $1,000; Naperville Area Humane Society, $1,000; Naperville Police Department School Resource Unit, $500; and Turning Point Autism, $998.95

In addition to providing monetary gifts, the Naperville Jaycees are continually finding ways to give back through volunteerism and community outreach.
