Naperville Gardener – Cup of Cheer™ returns in December

-

Krueger_webFor more than 50 years, members of the Naperville Garden Club have been proud to offer a delightful event to start the holiday season. Our 2014 Cup of Cheer™ House Walk, Holiday Market and Tea will be held December 4 and 5. Four homes (Downtown Naperville, White Eagle, Kinloch and Hobson Village) are decorated for the holidays.

Our Holiday Market provides beautiful gifts and decorations (many of which are original designs by our members), a raffle and again we will be offering trips for two to South Africa. At the Tea, coffee, tea and homemade cookies will be served and you will receive your souvenir bone china cup and saucer.

For Thursday, a limited number of tickets are sold and we promise no waiting in line. These preview tickets are $55 and can be purchased at Country Curtains, Nona Jo’s and our website. Friday tickets are $35 and can be purchased at Country Curtains (on Main Street), Naperville Bank and Trust (Market Meadow on Naper Blvd., next to Dunkin Donuts), Nona Jo’s (Mill and Fifth behind NNHS), two Oxford Banks (Book and 75th, Rt. 59 and 83rd), The Growing Place (Plank Rd.) and our website www.napervillegardenclub.org.

Our ticket chairperson, Barbara, will also be happy to help you at (630) 964-7408). Tickets will go on sale October 15. A 10 percent discount will be given for groups of 10 or more when purchased at the same time.

Due to campus construction at North Central College, our Holiday Market and Tea will be held at Larrance Academic Center, 309 E. School Street.

Your ticket purchase helps support the mission of the Naperville Garden Club to encourage the love and knowledge of gardening, to participate in civic projects that enhance our environment by donating trees, plants and service and to provide scholarships to students.

This year eleven students received scholarships from the Naperville Garden Club. We look forward to seeing you in December.
