Exchange Happenings – Awards and Leadership

-

Emy TrotzThe Exchange Club of Naperville held their Installation of Officers banquet on September 13 at Cress Creek Country Club. A huge thank you goes to Kathy Mackowiak for planning such a wonderful evening.

Bob Black was installed as President by his father-in-law, John Smith, from the Exchange Club of Urbana and a Lincolnland District Past Director. Trish Krenick was installed as Secretary and Scott Duenser, who was unable to attend, became treasurer. Dawn Portner is the Immediate Past President.

I had the honor of installing Trish, Dawn and the other Board members who are Bruce Erickson, Jan Erickson, Lori Brenneman, Dot Maginot, Diane Simmons, Todd Peterson, John Dunham, Janet Jacobs and Jennifer Cavalier. Board members who were unable to attend the banquet were Jan Bienfang, Peter Caligiuri, Rick Grimes and Bob Pschirrer.

This excellent group of leaders will continue to make the Exchange Club of Naperville shine!

During the evening, Dawn Portner received the “Exchangite of the Year” Award for all that she has done for the club.

Joel Carlson was named “Rookie of the Year,” but was unable to attend the dinner. He will be given his award at an upcoming lunch. As a new member, Joel became involved with the Marketing Committee for Ribfest and helped with special promotions.

The Exchange Club meets on the first and third Fridays at noon at Hugo’s Frog Pond. We welcome your interest in our club as we’re always seeking new members who embrace our mission.
