The 15th Annual Keeping Kids Safe program is slated 7-8:30PM Mon., Oct. 6, at Naperville Central High School. A question-and-answer period will follow the presentation.

Det. Rich Wistocki and Officer Shaun Ferguson of the Naperville Police Department will explain “the what, when and where the drug culture currently is in Naperville.”

Parents will be empowered and be given the tools to protect their children early before an addiction crisis occurs.

The Naperville Police Department DARES parents to know what their children are doing before it’s too late. Parents will receive free drug testing kits, free cell phone monitoring software and discounted computer monitoring software for attending. (Limited to the first 200 attendees; one per family.)

The free program, open to the entire community, is presented in cooperation with Exchange Club of Naperville, DuPage Child Abuse Prevention Coalition, School Districts 203 and 204, and the Naperville Public Library.

An ombudsman is Scandinavian in origin dating back to Viking times; and refers to a community representative; usually acting independently on behalf of an organization, body of elected officials, or civic group. Thanks Scandinavia for inventing ombudsman.
