A men’s a cappella barbershop chorus, the Chorus of DuPage, is hosting a guest night at 7:15PM on Tuesday, October 7, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 815 S. Washington St., just south of Edward Hospital in Naperville.
The chorus is looking for men who value the joy of singing. Experienced singers and new singers are invited to share this evening to learn more about barbershop music and the activities of the Chorus of Du Page. Music, laugher and friendship are just a few of the things the men will experience. Membership is open to men of all ages who like to sing. Reservations are not necessaryand there is no cost to attend the guest night.
The Chorus of DuPage was established in 1961 by a group of 34 men who enjoyed singing. As a chapter of the international Barbershop Harmony Society, the chorus is one of nearly 800 barbershop chapters in North America.
“Barbershop A Capella…4 parts, 40 voices, 1 totally awesome sound” said Bruce Rhoades, a ten-year member, when describing the Chorus of DuPage. For more information about the guest night or the Chorus of DuPage contact Bruce at (708) 243-0749 or email him at Bruce@rbihomes.com.
