On September 18, Turning Pointe Autism Foundation will be the beneficiary of valuable time and services from the Naperville Lowe’s Hero Project.
Turning Pointe Autism Foundation was founded in 2007 to provide families with the support they need when managing the challenges of Autism. With the growing number of children being diagnosed with Autism the need for service and support has become critical. Today the Foundation has expanded its commitment to incorporate educational services through Turning Pointe Career College and its licensed community school, family supports, and residential plans. With this broader vision in place, Turning Pointe Autism Foundation is raising awareness and the funding necessary to make a difference regionally in the lives of kids and families impacted by Autism.
Each year, Lowe’s employees team up to provide thousands of hours of support to local communities as part of the Lowe’s Heroes employee volunteer program. The company-wide program encourages employees in a location to work together, adopt a volunteer project with a local nonprofit organization and make a difference. This year the Naperville Lowe’s chose to help Turning Pointe Autism Foundation.
On September 18, Lowe’s volunteers will help Turning Pointe Autism Foundation by replacing trees that Turning Pointe lost due to the harsh winter, spreading mulch and even doing installation of cabinets in the building.
Because of community help from partners like Lowe’s, Turning Pointe Autism Foundation continues to create innovative programs and services to assist children, individuals and families as they navigate through the lifelong impact of Autism.
