Naperville’s Fort Hill Drive between Jefferson and Quincy will be closed 9AM-3PM Sept. 15-16

Signs remind drivers that Fort Hill Road will be closed between Jefferson and Quincy Sept. 15-16.

Fort Hill Drive between Jefferson and Quincy avenues is slated to be closed from 9AM to 3PM Mon., Sept. 15 and Tues. Sept. 16, pending weather or unforeseen circumstances. This closure is necessary for installation of a sanitary service line under the roadway that will serve the future Environmental Collection Center and Household Hazardous Waste facility at that location.

The road will be closed to all through traffic from 9AM to 3PM each day.

Recycling Drop-Off Center closed Sept. 16-18. Reopens Sept. 20

Because of its proximity to the utility work, the Recycling Drop-Off Center will be closed to the public on Tues.,  Sept. 16 and Thurs.,Sept. 18. The center will re-open with its normal 8AM to 4PM hours on Sat., Sept. 20.

When it opens in 2015, the new Environmental Collection Center will serve as a one-stop-drop for residents to dispose safely of their recyclables, including household hazardous waste. The City is investing $285,000 in the new center to go along with a $900,000 grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO).
