Historic Trolley Tour of Naperville – 11AM | $5-$10

Learn about old Naperville, and see the new Naperville! This one-hour Historic Tour of Naperville blends the past with the present, highlights Naperville’s growth, and includes some fun stories! Tours run every Friday during June, July and August at 11:00AM. Please arrive at 10:50AM. No strollers. $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 4-17. All public tours start and end at the ‘Trolley Stop’ on Jackson Avenue at Eagle Street. Walk-ons permitted if space. www.napervilletrolley.com.

Texas Roadhouse Benefit Lunch – 11AM

Texas Roadhouse restaurants will be teaming up with local law enforcement officers on Friday, July 25, for a Benefit Lunch. Local officers will serve a ‘free’ lunch of a limited menu from 11 a.m. 2 p.m. This exclusive lunch includes a pulled pork sandwich, corn, freshly baked bread with honey-cinnamon butter and a non-alcoholic beverage. Diners are simply asked to leave a donation at their table for their meal, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Special Olympics Illinois! This Texas Roadhouse Benefit Lunch is part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run, which is the largest year-round fundraising vehicle benefiting Special Olympics Illinois. All 14 Texas Roadhouse locations in Illinois will be participating, which includes: Bradley, Champaign, Countryside, Crystal Lake, Decatur, East Peoria, Edwardsville, Joliet, Naperville, Quincy, Rockford, Shiloh (O’Fallon), Springfield and Tinley Park.

Naper Nights Concert Series – 5PM | $10-$15
Naper Settlement  – 523 S. Webster Street Naperville, IL 60563
The Naper Nights Community Concert Series features ‘The History of Rock.’ Bring a blanket or lawn chair for this opportunity to enjoy music under the stars on the beautiful grounds of Naper Settlement. The entire evening of July 25 is devoted to the music of Pink Floyd with tribute band Think Floyd performing Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety and songs from throughout the Floyd era. Tickets are $15 adults, $10 youth (4-12). Free admission for members and children under 4. No outside food or beverages are allowed.  The Concert Series continues Saturday night – The Ents will play a tribute to Rush and Arrival will play the hits, favorites and gems from Journey and friends. www.napersettlement.org.

Naperville Farmers’ Market – 7AM to noon

Beginning the first Saturday in June through the last Saturday in October, the Farmer’s Market is open every Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon at the Fifth Avenue Station parking lot.

Lunch is served fresh off the grill each Saturday and Sunday from 11AM to 2PM at Casey’s Foods. Choose from a variety of options, including burgers, brats, tacos or our weekly special. Cavalcade of Homes – 10AM to 9PM | $10 -12
Ashwood Park Subdivision in Naperville (248 Ave. and 111 St.)
Runs daily July 26 through Aug. 17. Some of the best and most innovative new home designs will be on exhibit during the 2014 Cavalcade of Homes event. The 3-week long show is the largest in Illinois and will feature six brand new, beautifully crafted homes in the highly acclaimed community of Ashwood Park North. Tickets can be purchased for $12 at the gate and $10 online. 4th Annual Naperville Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk – 8AM | $50
Naperville Pavilion (Riverwalk Grand Pavilion) – 500 W. Jackson Avenue Naperville, IL 60540
Join us on Sunday, July 27 at the 2014 Naperville Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk at the Naperville Pavilion, in Illinois. Registration opens at 8AM and the walk officially starts at 9AM. Lustgarten Foundation Events serve as a wonderful celebration of the progress being made in the fight against this disease, and your important participation provides hope for the future. 100 percent of every dollar raised at the walk will go directly to Pancreatic Cancer research. 2014napervillewalk.kintera.org.

Scott’s Walk 2014 is planned for Sunday, July 27 with a lovely 2-mile family walk around Whalon Lake, Naperville, IL. We hope you can join us to remember Scott Zager, raise awareness for testicular cancer, and enjoy some time with family and friends.

Float a (Cardboard) Boat for a Cause – 12 Noon – 3PM | Beach Admission
Centennial Beach – Jackson Ave., in downtown Naperville
Come watch 95.9 The River host a summer pool party with a competitive cardboard boat float at Naperville Park District’s Centennial Beach. Immediately following the beach event, attend a free concert performed by Tim Sleep on the 72-bell carillon at Rotary Hill along the Riverwalk.

Settlement Sundays – 1PM | $8-$12

Each Sunday, admission to our museum includes free sundaes with do-it-yourself toppings, hands-on family activities and tours of historic buildings. Ice cream from Culver’s is served from 2-3:30PM. $12/adult, $10/senior, $8/youth Naperville residents and members are free. www.napersettlement.org.
