Japan has always been known for their healthy lifestyle and very low obesity rate. Turmeric, ginger and red pepper are very high in antioxidants and may reduce cholesterol, while aromatics such as onions and garlic also off er antioxidant benefits and have been shown to lower lipid levels in the blood.
Greece is the heart of the Mediterranean and thus, the famous Mediterranean diet. The largest portions in this diet are fruits, veggies and fi sh, some grains and legumes, and then the smallest portions are olive oil, cheese and meat.
