Registration is open for two sessions of Edward Hospital’s Camp Breathe Easy, a four-day summer day camp for kids 7-12 years old who have asthma. The Camp is sponsored by the Edward Foundation.
Camp Breathe Easy will be held Monday, June 23 to Thursday, June 26, 8:30AM – 2PM at the Edward Plainfield Outpatient Center, 24600 W. 127th St. in Plainfield, and Monday, July 14 toThursday, July 17, 8:30AM – 2PM at Edward Hospital, 801 S. Washington St. in Naperville.
The cost is $40. Pre-registration is required. “Camperships” to cover the fee are available for those who have financial need.
Campers will take part in traditional summer camp sports, games and crafts and have a camp-in day while learning how to manage their asthma in fun and interactive classroom lessons. The camp is staffed by respiratory therapists and other medically trained staff.
