Police announce charges against heroin dealer

-

HillThe Naperville Police Department have concluded its investigation into a local heroin dealer.  On March 18, Amari D. Hill, 19 years of age, of 1513 West Jefferson St., Naperville, was taken into custody after selling an undercover detective 49 bags of heroin in a parking lot near the intersection of Ogden Ave. and Jefferson Ave.  The heroin had a total weight of approximately 28 grams with a street value of $1,000.

In early February 2014, members of the Naperville Police Department Special Operations Group received information that a subject was dealing large quantities of heroin from an apartment complex on West Jefferson Ave.  SOG officers subsequently identified Hill as the suspected source of illegal heroin distribution and initiated an undercover investigation.  During the course of the investigation, multiple purchases of heroin were made from Hill and it was later determined he was transporting heroin from the west side of Chicago to the Naperville area.   Hill was charged with one count of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a class one felony.  He was transferred to the DuPage County jail and has since been released on bond.
