Teen’s Taste – Quigley’s Irish Pub

-

One of my favorite Irish Blessings is…“May you have the hindsight to know where you’ve been, the foresight to know where you are going, and the insight to know when you have gone too far.”

Quigley's Irish Pub

My next dinning adventure took me back to a favorite of mine just in time for St. Paddy Day. Quigley’s Irish Pub located at 43 East Jefferson Ave.

They are open 11:30AM-1AM Mon. through Thurs., 11:30AM-2AM Friday, and 10AM-2AM Saturday and 10AM-Midnight on Sunday.

With the West Suburban Irish 2014 St. Patrick’s Day Parade around the corner at 10AM on Sat. March 15 and also the 5K St. Paddy’s Day run that begins at 8AM, I thought I would check out Quigley’s breakfast so I could recommend to all of my readers as a place to go after the race and parade to eat breakfast.

This was the first time, though, I had breakfast and it definitely will not be the last. The atmosphere is always lively and the wait staff always very friendly. Often you will see the owner, Nancy Quigley, in there greeting her customers.

I chose the traditional Irish Breakfast. Grilled Irish bacon, black and white pudding, two eggs, two Bangers served with golden fried mushrooms, fresh grilled tomato. Served with light rye toast.

The flavors were amazing! My mom chose the Irish Bacon Omelet which is three eggs, Irish bacon, shredded cheddar cheese and tomatoes. Served with hash browns and your choice of toast.

She said it was deliciously prepared and definitely would order again. They have two kids’ breakfasts to choose from. So there’s something for the entire family to enjoy.

Please stop in and wish the Quigley family a Happy St. Patrick’s Day and tell them Jack “the foodie” Morrissey sent you.
