Once again, Mayor George Pradel is slated to officiate with crowning glory during the countdown at noon.

This year’s event is back at the Museum and bigger and better than ever before, with three floors of bubble fun that will provide activity and discovery around every turn. Featured activities include a musical performance by Mr. Singer and the Sharp Cookies, various bubble-themed activities, and a countdown to Noon led by Naperville Mayor A. George Pradel.

Reserve your spot through December 6 and save $5 per person.

Meet Mr. Singer and the Sharp Cookies

Award-winning musical group Mr. Singer and the Sharp Cookies will deliver a rousing live show turned dance party that will surely get the young and old alike up on their feet and singing along. Fans will be captivated by colorful costumes, lively music, and high-energy guitar antics that take kid-friendly tunes from so-so to show-stoppers.

“Mr. Singer and the Sharp Cookies pack shows across the Midwest and we’re thrilled to have this award-winning musical group ring in the New Year,” said Marcia MacRae, Public Programs Manager, DuPage Children’s Museum. “It’s safe to say we’re ‘bubbling’ with excitement to provide our best Bubble Bash celebration ever.”

Guests will join the party in style, popping their way down a red carpet of bubble wrap. Adults and children will work together to create a giant, collaborative water balloon painting and a bubble filled ocean collage. Science concepts will be explored by catching gas-filled “boo bubbles,” constructing big bridges, and blowing bubble chains of gigantic proportions. Young visitors will fuel up by constructing their very own culinary creation so they can dance and sing the morning away. As always, the party will build to a spectacular conclusion as families join together on all three floors for the Museum’s famous countdown to Noon led by Naperville Mayor Pradel.

“Bubble Bash is more than a holiday tradition; it’s a gathering of families celebrating the past year and looking forward to what the New Year may bring,” said Mayor Pradel in the news release. “Families and children are at the very heart of our community and I’m delighted to lead them in a ceremonial countdown.”

Reservations are required for this event. Register through December 6 to receive a $5 early registration discount per person ($20 members; $25 nonmembers). Fees after December 6 are $25 members; $30 nonmembers.

Reservations can be made online at dupagechildrens.org/bubble-bash-2013 or by calling the Museum at (630) 637-8000.

Organizers encourage families to “reserve your spot today for the biggest and best family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration!”
