Wednesday night, November 27, also known as Black Wednesday for the high volume of liquor sales, the Naperville Police Department will deploy extra uniformed and plainclothes officers in the Central Business District with cooperation of the downtown liquor establishments.

The mission of the downtown detail is to address any and all liquor related concerns, disorderly conduct investigations, public urination, pedestrian/vehicle traffic issues and crimes against persons. Increased bar inspections will be a priority in order to identify potential problem establishments and customers.

IDOT is partnering with Illinois State Police and nearly 250 local law enforcement agencies to crack down on seat belt law violators now through Thanksgiving weekend. More than 700 Safety Belt Enforcement Zones (SBEZs) will be conducted across Illinois during this high visibility enforcement campaign period. More than half of the SBEZs will be conducted during night-time hours, when belt use is typically at its lowest.

The Naperville Police Department will be conducted Seat Belt Enforcement Zones  during the Thanksgiving Click It or Ticket Campaign. Enforcement will be conducted on November 22 to 27 at various locations within the City of Naperville.
